When it comes to getting around in Kelowna, you can’t get much more central than the North Glenmore area. If driving (depending on traffic, of course), it takes around 10 minutes to get downtown or to Orchard Park Mall, 15 minutes to get to UBCO or the Okanagan College, and 20 minutes to get to the airport.

 Bicycling is also a great commuting option as Glenmore features lots of flat areas and bike paths, including one that travels all the way to downtown in one direction and to Leckie Road in the other. What makes Glenmore’s centrality especially coveted is that, despite being in such a convenient location, the neighbourhood has remained surprisingly peaceful and is made up of mostly quiet, residential streets.

The quiet streets mentioned above are just one of the reasons why young, growing families are flocking to Glenmore.The area is abundant with schools including Glenmore Elementary, North Glenmore Elementary, Bankhead Elementary, Watson Road Elementary and Dr. Knox Middle School. Beyond that, Kelowna Secondary School is just about a 10 - 15 minute drive away and is also accessible by city bus. There are also tons of parks, playgrounds, tennis courts and sports fields for kiddos to enjoy, such as Jack Robertson Park, Hartwick Park, Dilworth Mountain Park and Lillooet Park.
